Engr. Ubendu’s career in the oil and gas industry has been distinguished by notable contributions across various sectors. He began his professional journey as a consultant with Anderson Consulting in Lagos, before joining the Shell Petroleum Development Company Limited (SPDC) in 1997. He later transitioned to Shoreline Natural Resources Limited, where he currently holds the position of Assistant General Manager, Technical. In this capacity, he is responsible for overseeing Subsurface Management, Capital Project Management, Technical Expertise, Stakeholder Engagement, Budgeting, and Cost Control, as well as Team Leadership and Development, playing a key role in the company’s continued success and growth.

A seasoned professional, Engr. Ubendu is a member of several prominent industry bodies, including the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers (NSChE), the Nigerian Society of Engineers, the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) INTL.

Outside of work, Obisike enjoys playing golf and soccer. He is happily married and blessed with children.
