Richard Hibbert

Captain Richard Hibbert is the General Manager, Shipping and Commercial of Shoreline Natural Resources Limited. Prior to joining Shoreline, Richard worked with Shell Plc for 40 years in various positions, including 25 years at sea to the rank of Captain. He has over 20 years of experience in the Nigerian Oil and Gas industry, specifically with NLNG, SPDC, other shore-based appointments in Shell, and SNRL. His vast experience comprise of all aspects of Marine, LNG, Oil & Gas Shipping and Export activities including commercial & terminal operations, and the development of marine infrastructure.

He graduated from Plymouth School of Maritime Studies UK as a first-class Master Mariner. Richard effectively manages conflicting interests in challenging environments with multiple stakeholders, including Government Ministries, Departments, and Agencies. He chaired the Operations & Terminals subcommittee of the Oil Producers Section of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce for over 7 years, interfacing with various Government ministries and Oil Producers, including indigenous producers, NNPC, and other IOCs.
